At Biotekna, we understand the importance of protecting the privacy of our users’ personally identifiable information and we take appropriate steps to protect the personally identifiable information of our users. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain what information we collect from our users when they interact with Biotekna Plus, including what personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information we collect, how use that information, with whom we share that information and what steps we take to protect that information. Biotekna Plus is hosted in EU and if you are accessing Biotekna Plus from outside the EU, please be advised that you are transferring information to the EU. Your continued use of Biotekna Plus represents your consent to this transfer of information.

Information Collection and Use by Biotekna Plus

Biotekna Plus users are required to register before they can use Biotekna Plus services. During registration Biotekna Plus collects certain personally identifiable information which is information which personally identifies users, such as name and email address.

Biotekna Plus also collects certain information that does not personally identify users. This non-personally identifiable information includes certain demographic information we collect about users such as age, gender and postal code. Biotekna Plus does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 and if we learn that we have collected such information Biotekna Plus takes steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Biotekna Plus tracks the ways that users interact with Biotekna Plus and will collect information regarding such interaction. The information Biotekna Plus may collect when users interact with Biotekna Plus includes, IP address, ISP, browser type, operating system, language, profile information, tracked and general user activity on Biotekna Plus.

Biotekna Plus does not share any personally identifiable information with any third-parties without user’s permission. However, Biotekna Plus may share information (both personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information) if Biotekna Plus is required to do so by applicable law or if Biotekna Plus has a good faith belief that sharing information is necessary to comply with applicable law.

For a better experience, while using our service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to location. Some information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Location data is used in order to discover BLE devices by the app and will not be retained by us.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. Health Data

Biotekna Plus will not use or disclose health data to third parties for advertising, marketing or other use-based data mining purposes other than improving health or for the purpose of health research. Biotekna Plus will not disclose any health data to a third party without express permission from a user.

Biotekna Plus takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of user personal data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

Biotekna Plus restricts access to user personal information to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
